Pitting Bridgenorth and Hillwood against each other in the decider for the first time since 1984, Luke Duncan and Jake Pearce will be among the 44 men doing battle - with only one of them to stand tall come the final siren.
Joining Bridgenorth in 2009 from North Launceston, Duncan didn't have to wait long for premiership success, standing tall on York Park for the 2010 flag.
The Parrots have been unable to take home a premiership since then despite featuring in three grand finals, with Duncan saying a win on Saturday would mean a lot to him.
NTFA finals fever
"We've put in a lot of effort over the past eight or nine years and I think we are due for a bit of luck," he said.
"We've got to put pressure on the ball user and cut down the uncontested ball."
With only Jake Nunn and Nick McElwee remaining from the 2010 victory alongside Duncan, the prospect of becoming dual-premiership players towards the end of their careers is one that excites the Parrots leader.
Returning to the Sharks after playing in three premierships at North Launceston, the key position player already has an under-19 Hillwood flag under his belt but a seniors title would be something else.

"For me it will mean a lot but I think for the community is the biggest thing," Pearce said.
"I came back with work obviously being pretty full on but to win it for the community is the biggest."
A personal trainer outside of football, Pearce has been able to use his knowledge both on and off the ground to help build the Sharks following a semi-final finish last year.
"We've got some premium on-ballers and they've got some premium on-ballers so we'll look for a pretty good hit out in the midfield."
