Yoga, water aerobics and circuit training are just some of the ways Northern Support School students have been getting active this week.
Culminating with a boxing session as part of National Health and Physical Education Day on Thursday, more than 70 students took part in the healthy initiative.

Organised by the Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation, Tasmania president Vaughan Cruickshank said the program highlighted the importance of physical education.

"Increasing students' physical literacy and health literacy is an important component of increasing their physical activity levels, and improving their school engagement, academic achievement, and health outcomes in adult life," he said.
Northern Support School PE teacher Vanessa Abernethy said the goal was to encourage everyone of all abilities to get active.
"It doesn't matter their ability, or disability. You can still move and do things," she said.
"Everyone has been so excited about this."
