Teams from all three regions will be fighting it out for state domination with Launceston Basketball Association fielding seven sides and boasting 14 Tasmanian representatives in their fleet.
Australian gold medallist Sejr Deans is among them with LBA head coach Sarah Veale hopeful about her teams' performances.

"We've got a really deep talent pool and are required to put in multiple teams because of our size and our strength," she said.
"For our 16s boys we've put three even teams in, if we can get a Launceston-Launceston final, that would be a really good goal for us.
"Our 18s girls have one team that have five state players and four Tornadoes girls in that group. I think we will see them definitely in a final."
With Launceston's basketball future looking strong and fruitful, Veale is looking for this generation to inspire the next with local talent encouraged to come and watch.
