Break O'Day mayor Mick Tucker said with so much to celebrate they had to stretch the opening over two days - November 22 and 23.
"We are just so excited to be able to finally share this project with everyone and when I say we, I mean the whole community," he said.
Friday will feature the official ribbon-cutting ceremonies at Swimcart Beach and the trailhead off Flagstaff Road, with riders welcome to come and ride the trails from 9am.

Saturday will feature the Mountains to the Sea Trailfest, with three hubs of activity around St Helens.
"Because our business community is so supportive of this project they have started putting together ideas to join in the festivities," Cr Tucker said.
"We are still working with them on developing these ideas but one thing is for sure, the Mountains to the Sea Trailfest will provide plenty of entertainment for when you are not on the trails."
