A man has denied causing a deep laceration on another man's face by glassing him in a George Town car park.

Adrian Michael Johnson has pleaded not guilty to wounding Shane Baker in the early hours of May 28, 2017.
The Launceston Supreme Court heard on Tuesday that the accused was drinking with his partner and her friends at Grays Hotel in the hours preceding the alleged incident.
Mr Baker was drinking at the same pub with his friends but the pair didn't speak, the court heard.
Both groups stayed at the pub until close and separately walked to a takeaway shop nearby, the jury was told.
While giving evidence, Mr Baker said as he was leaving the takeaway shop on Macquarie Street and could hear yelling and screaming from across the road.

Mr Baker and his friend walked towards the commotion to see if everything was OK, the court heard.
During her opening address, Crown prosecutor Emily Judd said there would be conflicting evidence about how the groups came into contact.
Mr Baker said while he was speaking to a woman he knew in the car park another woman started verbally abusing his friend.
Mr Baker said he turned around after hearing a can drop and that's when he was hit in the face with a glass.
"Me eye split open and I had a face full of blood," he said.
In his opening reply, defence lawyer Patrick O'Halloran said Mr Johnson never hit Mr Baker with a glass.
Mr Johnson, of Low Head, acted in self-defence against Mr Baker and his friend after they started the fight, Mr O'Halloran said.
Mr Baker walked to the George Town Medical Centre after the alleged incident, the court heard.
While giving evidence, Dr Amanda Clifford said she treated the deep laceration located near Mr Baker's left eye. The wound appeared to be caused by a weapon with a sharp edge and required 13 stitches, Dr Clifford said.
