Tamar Demons have taken out no less than three NTJFA premierships much like state heavyweights Launceston.
But it was more David not Goliath that stole the show.
Tamar Cats were forced to withdrawal from the NTFA in November, unable to form a match-day committee.
But their namesake did the Beauty Point region proud, typified by a fightback win in the under-16s division two decider at the NTCA ground.
Dismal kicking threatened to end Tamar's hopes after just eight behinds in the first half and one goal at the last change that ensured Prospect Hawks led by 14 points.
But a resilient four-goal-to-one final quarter set up the thrilling 5.11 (41) to 5.6 (36) triumph. Liam Older kicked two goals for Tamar while Brodie Wiggins would finish with three for Prospect.
Urban Farquhar kicked a grand final day-high four goals to guide Tamar to the under-14 division 2 title.
Longford had kicked three goals in the first quarter to lead by 14 points until Tamar put on six of the next eight goals to run over the top.
The Demons went on to record a 7.6 (48) to 5.5 (35) victory with Max Robinson goaling twice for the Tigers.
Tamar's girls set up the premiership run on Saturday night off the back of a three-goal-to-nil second term.
That was enough for the under-14 female title over South Launceston, finishing winners 4.1 (25) to 1.1 (7).

Daizi Blundstone booted two goals for the Demons.
Launceston look to establish its club dominance with a powerful 6.2 (38) to 2.2 (14) under-17 girls grand final win over East Launceston.
Madison Brazendale and Ebonie Agostini both booted two goals each.
The Blues had a hold in the under-12 grand finals.
Launceston led all day to clinch the division 1 premiership over South Launceston 7.4 (46) to 2.3 (15).
Caleb Brewer was the star up forward with three goals.
The division 2 title was a tougher battle for Launceston against East Launceston.
Both sides kicked opening goals in the first quarter, but the Blues managed to hang on to win 1.4 (10) to 1.1 (7).
Prospect Hawks continued their reputation as one of the top breeding grounds.
The under-16 division 1 win against East Launceston was cast aside in a massive seven-goal final term.
The Hawks took out the game emphatically 10.12 (72) to 3.3 (21), but only lead by 11 points at the last change.
Three goals to Zac Seadon and two to Matthew Saunders set up a 51-point triumph.
South Launceston snared the under-14 division 1 grand final in a fluctuating affair with North Launceston. The Bulldogs would win 4.5 (29) to 3.5 (23) as Sam Shaw and Thomas Heazlewood kicked two each for their sides.
