The Super Netball title contenders that will play a semi-final on Sunday against Melbourne Vixens want to continue bringing an annual home fixture to Launceston.
The partnership that is funded through the state government has expired, but club director of stadia David Emerson is confident a new contract will be negotiated.
"We have been delighted to play matches in both Hobart and Launceston, and to work closely with Netball Tasmania to help grow and develop netball right across the state," Emerson told The Sunday Examiner.
The Magpies have twice won against the Queensland Firebirds in Launceston to keep their finals hopes alive in previous seasons and also this month against top-of-the-table NSW Swifts to help secure a top-four spot.
Part of the deal was hosting a preseason game every year in Hobart and to affiliate the Tasmanian Magpies in the Australian Netball League.

Netball Tasmania already are considering their options that could include going it alone should Super Netball expansion occur from 2022 to coincide with the next broadcast and licensing deal.
Emerson said the package the Magpies can deliver to the table remains lucrative.
"Collingwood is proud to bring the best netballers in the world to Tasmania," he said. "We are extremely keen to continue our partnership with the Tasmanian government and Netball Tasmania."
Emerson called the Swifts' game an "enormous success" after the first sellout crowd.
The last of 25 tickets were snapped up just before the end of a State League final.
"We are undefeated and this year upset the top placeholder. Our fans in Tasmania have been fantastic so we really appreciate their support - our players love it," he said.
