Having led by 20 points at the half, the Southern Bombers looked in danger of being overrun in the third as Jaye Bowden (five goals) popped through three for the quarter to take his side into the final change ahead of the ledger.
Goals to Aiden Grace and Ben Kamaric inside the first two minutes of the last took the Pies out to a 13-point lead, but Lauderdale had a sting in the tail.

Haydn Smith, Nic Baker, Alex Hill and Jacob Gillbee slotted the next four goals and it was not until the 28-minute mark that Kamaric could add the Pies' third for the quarter with a running goal from 30m.
It was too little too late, however, as the Bombers held out the remaining three minutes to win 13.15 (93) to 12.15 (87).
Lauderdale will travel to Windsor Park next Sunday to battle North Launceston for a grand final ticket, while Glenorchy will host Launceston in a do-or-die semi-final.
The meeting will be North Launceston and Lauderdale's fourth finals fixture in three years, with North boasting a 4-0 record in that time.
