Regis facility manager Deborah Franklin said the program was part of a national initiative aimed at helping their residents at risk of falls.
"[It's] about strengthening and improving the balance of Regis residents," she said.

"We have exercises that strengthen and improve their balance over time so it reduces that risk of falling and possibly going to hospital."
"If you go to hospital you have to sit and wait and they're more at risk of developing infections."
Ms Franklin said Regis staff will also participate in the program through being aware of what to look for in high-risk falls residents.
"[It] places less risk and stress on families as well," she said.
The community is raising funds for four local charities as part of The Examiner's Winter Relief Appeal. Can you help?
