The Rotaract Club of Tamar Valley will host its annual bingo night on Friday, September 20.

Club president Madi Biggelaar said the past three events had raised more than $15,000, which went directly back into the community.

This year's event, however, was supporting an international cause.

Ms Biggelaar said this year's event aims to raise $10,000 to purchase two SkyHydrants, which would deliver clean drinking water to children in Bhutan.

"One unit can produce up to 10,000 litres or more of clean water everyday, enough for the essential domestic needs of 500 to 1000 people," she said.

"This is a Disaster Aid Australia project run by Rotary, which hopes to supply safe drinking water for every central school in Bhutan by the end of 2020," she said.

Club treasurer Holly Corbett said the event would be a great night with the chance to win exciting prizes.

"We have had some very generous businesses giving us great prizes," she said.

"We have a 4.5kg toblerone for one lucky person to win in our major raffle. We are already selling tickets and it will be drawn on the night. Raffle tickets are $2 each or three for $5."

Alongside the raffle will be a silent auction, door prizes, and other games.

Matthew Garwood, well known for appearing on The Voice and Chilli 90.1fm, will return as this year's bingo caller.

The bingo night will take place at the Launceston Church Grammar senior school hall.

Doors will open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.

Tickets are $15 from Launceston Tickets, and include a donation and a bingo dabber.

Bingo books are $10 and must be bought with cash on the night.

Drinks will be available and guests are welcome to bring their own snacks.

The event is strictly over 18.
