For the past six months, participants with an interest in craft have been honing their skills by creating a range of items including sheets, blankets, quilts, cardigans, hats, toys, peanut pillows and booties.
CVGT Australia deputy chief executive John Lynch said the partnership benefited the hospital and Work the Dole participants, who were looking for experience in their field of interest.
"Work for the Dole activities assist job seekers to develop new skills and improves their chance of finding a job, while giving back to the community," he said.
"The LGH project has provided many Work for the Dole participants with a fantastic opportunity to develop skills in craft, project coordination, time management, networking and communication skills."
