A woman has escaped conviction after being found with knuckle dusters, a taser and a small quantity of ice.

On Thursday, Nomi Lea Mountney pleaded guilty to breach of police family violence order, possess a controlled drug, unlawfully possess dangerous article in a public place, unlawful possession of property, state a false name and address, and two counts of breach of bail.
The 40-year-old woman spent the night of January 27 driving around with a friend because she was scared, with the pair eventually parking at St Leonards Picnic Ground and sleeping in the car.
Just before 9am on January 28 police spoke with Mountney while she was seated in the passenger seat of the vehicle.

Mountney, who was of no fixed address at the time, told police she had a taser and knuckle dusters because she was scared.
The Launceston Magistrates Court heard Mountney recently had her jaw broken in two places and required surgery.
Mountney's lawyer Evan Hughes said his client had not named her attacker and didn't feel safe to do so.
Mr Hughes said the taser had only been in Mountney's possession for a short time and was for her protection.
Mountney first started working in her family's pub at age 14 and would eventually take over the lease and go on to work in hospitality for a number of years.
Mr Hughes said after a 10-year career Mountney decided her work wasn't satisfying enough and began studying to become a nurse.
The qualified assistant in nursing's "story changed" after leaving a violent relationship, Mr Hughes said.
The court heard Mountney has engaged with drug and alcohol services, Engender Equality and Relationships Australia to help deal with a number of challenges in her life including homelessness.
During sentencing, Magistrate Ken Stanton acknowledged the broad range of offending arose from the breakdown of a long-standing relationship.
Mountney was not convicted on the charges, but was fined $500 and ordered to pay court cost and levies.
