The 2019 participants spoke highly of the program, saying it had changed their outlook in all areas, particularly in their willingness to take up leadership roles.
Working as Lenah Game Meats company secretary and volunteering her services with Lilydale Pony Club, Mrs Kelly said the program allowed her to "increase capacity in every aspect" of her life.
"I've taken on leadership roles at work, and in other areas, I wouldn't have felt confident doing," she said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
St.LukesHealth chief operating officer Darren Harris said the program had given him the courage to step into a leadership role, "knowing I can lead people".
"It makes you look more holistically around your environment, rather than just doing the job," Mr Harris said.
Tasmanian Leaders Program is delivered intensively over one year with a combination of multi-day residentials, two- and three-day linking sessions and Learning Set Projects.
Not only do aspiring leaders develop skills, knowledge and opportunities, they also gain a statewide network through the program.
"There is a strong collegiate of positive, progressive people you know you can draw on for lots of issues," Mrs Kelly said.
Tasmanian Leaders is now taking applications for the 2020 program.
An information session for prospective participants will be held on Tuesday, August 27, at 5pm, at C.H. Smith, Launceston.
