Belinda Leone Colbran, of Ravenswood, is serving a 24-year sentence for the 2016 murder of Aaron Matthew Monaco.
Colbran's lawyer Alan Hensley told the Hobart Supreme Court on Wednesday only an appeal against sentence would proceed.

Mr Hensley said he had been able to secure legal aid and would be ready to file the appeal book soon, with the intention the matter be heard later this year.
Due to his involvement in an unrelated trial, the court heard Mr Hensley may not be available for the matter to be listed in the October appeal term.
"I expect [the trial] will go into at least early October but we shouldn't give up hope [the appeal] could go into the back end of those two weeks," Mr Hensley said.
Justice Helen Wood adjourned the matter with a date for the appeal to be set in September.
