A body located in Mayfield bushland on Friday has been formally identified as missing man Billy Ray Waters.

Mr Waters, 19, was last seen alive on August 4, with his disappearance reported to police on August 11.
Tasmania Police Detective Acting Inspector Craig Fox said police's thoughts and condolences were with Mr Waters' family and loved ones during this difficult time.
Two 17-year-old boys and a 33-year-old man, Christopher Leigh Brown, were charged with Mr Waters' alleged murder.
The investigation is ongoing and police have not ruled out charging other people.
