A series of troughs and fronts embedded in a westerly flow will see cold, wet and windy conditions across Tasmania, the Bureau of Meteorology said.

Snow will fall to 400 metres in the west and south on Monday morning, then lift later in the day. Snow levels will lower again during Wednesday evening.
In Launceston there is a high chance of rain on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and winds of up to 35 km/h.
But no significant rainfall totals are expected in the east.
There are road closures in place throughout the state:
Dangerous Roads
Anthony Road - open but use caution.
Murchison Highway - open but use caution.
Ridgely Highway - open but use caution.
Waratah Road - open but use caution.
Drive to the conditions and be mindful of changing weather conditions.
Closed Roads
Pinnacle Road, Mount Wellington - closed at The Springs.
Belvoir Road - closed due to snow, clearing commencing.
Cradle Mountain Road/Dove Lake Road - closed due to snow, clearing commencing.
Lyell Highway between Derwent Bridge and Lake Burbury - closed due to snow, clearing commencing.
