Dog First Aid was an initiative started by Hobart's Marea Fox and husband Andrew, aimed at collaborating with vets to help your average dog owner learn important first aid techniques for their beloved pooches.

"We [Dog First Aid] pretty much advocate that if your dog needs veterinary assistance, don't hesitate go [to the vet] but on the way there are things that you can do," Mrs Fox said.
Owners are advised not to bring their dogs, as 'doggy dummies' will be used.
The event will be held on August 25 at the Rocherlea Memorial Hall between 12.30pm and 4.30pm.
