Playing at Invermay Park for the first time in two years, the Northern Bombers kept it business as usual off the field by using UTAS Stadium's changerooms and the on-field result followed with a 15.18 (108) to 10.5 (65) win.
Taylor Whitford's side will now face Glenorchy next round and sit out the first week of finals before meeting either the Pies or Lauderdale for a shot at a sixth-straight grand final.
"We've just got to be ready and hungry and I think we'll have a good couple of weeks now," Whitford said.
"We'll play Glenorchy at KGV which is a good finish - they had a great win today and they're a pretty strong outfit so it's a good way to finish.
"[Finishing top] is a good opportunity, but it doesn't mean anything to be honest because no-one remembers who finishes with the minor premiership, you remember the premiership winning team so that's our end goal."
Playing with a four-pronged forward line, the Bombers were clinical in the opening half, piling on 10 goals through eight different avenues.
Ruckman Alex Lee dropped forward to convert twice from strong marks having kicked only one goal for the season prior, while Jack Avent snuck his first for the season through a smart snap in the opening term.
Will Edmunds applied great tackling pressure for a big man and Jackson Callow looked like kicking a bag in his second senior game before spending the second half on the bench.

Whitford said the four tall forwards were all locks for the finals series, but conceded Tom Donnelly (two goals) might return to play in defence depending on opposition match-ups.
"Jackson Callow was really good," Whitford said.
"He didn't played the second half, he rolled his ankle which was a little bit disappointing so we put him on ice for the second half.
"Tom Donnelly, Bill Edmunds and Bart McCulloch worked really well together so that gives us something to look forward to in three weeks' time for our first final."
The win capped off an interesting week which saw North come under fire in Lauderdale coach Darren Winter's mid-week press conference.
Whitford said his side had paid no attention to Winter's claims that "five or six" North players would be suspended if behind-the-play footage of last week's Lauderdale win was released.
"It is what it is, to be honest it didn't worry us too much," Whitford said.
"We were worried about playing footy and moving on and once that game was won and over we were straight on to review ready for North Hobart so it didn't faze us one bit.
"We didn't talk about it or think about it."
Sam Darley and Nathan McCulloch were North Hobart's best through the midfield, while former Melbourne Demon Colin Garland finished with four goals from limited opportunities up forward.
