Minor premiership shoe-ins five weeks ago, the Southern Bombers kicked just three goals to three-quarter time before going down to Glenorchy 14.7 (91) to 6.8 (44).

Clarence ruckman Ryan Bailey won the Alex Gadomski medal of courage, with midfielder Ryan Matthews' taking out the equivalent for the Tigers.
