The next step to allow a $431-million development near Evandale is set to be approved by the Northern Midlands Council.

At Tuesday's meeting, the council is recommended to write to the northern councils to get their views on the request to amend the Northern Tasmania Regional Land Use Strategy.
The council have to write to surrounding councils as part of the application to change land uses.
The Evandale land, at 98 Ridgeside Lane and 211 Logan Road, is zoned rural resource.
"[The strategy] does not identify the land for a development as is proposed. As such, an amendment to the planning scheme would be inconsistent with the relevant regional land use strategy," the agenda said.
"Requesting an amendment to the Northern Tasmania Regional Land Use Strategy to include the land within the 'urban growth area' classification under the Strategy ... would allow consideration of an amendment to the planning scheme."

A cafe, restaurant, cellar door, botanical gardens, sustainability centre, including a sewerage centre, and an education hub are proposed for the site.
A hotel, eco-resort, retirement village along with more than 470 land lots are also included in the master plan.
The council first considered the land change proposal at its March meeting, but asked developers Traders in Purple for more information.
The Sydney-based company supplied the information, and has since revised its master plan as part of the feedback.
More public input is likely to be sought throughout the land-use change process.
The project is expected to take more than 15 years to complete, at a cost of $28.7 million per year.
The total value of construction for the 15-year period, covering civil works on site, housing, tourism and care facilities and site infrastructure is $385.2 million in 2018 prices. Additionally, there is a likely to be total of $45.9 million in other costs, including design, architects, engineers, and marketing.
The meeting starts at 5pm.
