The $11.5 million park is set to provide a new place of energy-expulsion from Saturday, with four themed play areas and equipment for days.
There's swings, diggers, sand pits, a wheelchair carousel, a water-play area, musical instruments, outdoor table tennis, see-saws, a full-size sports court, a Sky Walk and a giant net, just waiting to be climbed, played, and swung on.
A community event will be held to mark the occasion, on Saturday from 10am. There will be a free barbecue, basketball activities, face painting and a visit from the Hawthorn Football Club mascots.
Head down to Kings Wharf Road, down by the Tamar, to check it out for yourself.
