The Meander Valley Council will install a roundabout in October.
The works include an alignment and the demolition of a house the council bought in 2016.
Entry to the sports area is currently off Harley Parade.
Works on the project started in 2012, general manager Martin Gill said.
He said the facility's user groups were happy.
"It will make it more manageable, it'll be a better outcome for the clubs and how they manage the games on game day and generally help traffic in that area."
The project is expected to cost more than $1 million and be completed by April 2020.
