The university had a total of 21,197 students enrolled last year, of which 15,635 were domestic students and 5561 international students.
International student numbers have steadily grown since 2014.
There were 9796 students who started study at the university in 2018 compared to 10,770 students the year before.
There were 14,784 undergraduate applicants last year of which 13,248 were made offers and 10,725 accepted offers.
As for international students, there were 4495 applications submitted with 2565 offers made and 1016 offers accepted.
Forty per cent of the university's income came from federal government operating grants including HECS payments.
