Snow is also forecast for much of the central state on Saturday.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast strong winds for much of the north later this week, and snow falling ever lower to Saturday. But it's not just all snow and wind. There will be rain as well.

In fact, there will be showers across the state coming in from the northwest during Thursday and snow will be down to 700 metres.
Gardeners beware. There will be widespread frosts on Thursday and Friday.
Snowfall will be down to 600 metres on Friday and 500 metres on Saturday. Fresh and gusty winds will blow again and there could be a thunderstorm.
