A number of new events are planned for Launceston's central business district, with Fiesta on George replaced with a new food event.

On Wednesday, Cityprom announced four events would be held in the CBD later this year.
Cityprom executive director Steve Henty said feedback received after six years of Fiesta on George suggested it was time for change.
A world food event will be held on October 19 at Yorktown Square instead.
Two other new events will be held.
On August 24, Beats, Brews and BBQ's will be held in the new events space Smiths Lane on St John Street.
A month later, a laneway festival event will be held in Brisbane and Earl court and Dicky Whites Lane on September 21.
Christmas in the City will be held on November 22.
