A Tasmania-listed WNCL player, the 19-year-old relished the chance to play in last summer's WBBL, making two unbeaten knocks of 20-plus to help the Renegades qualify for finals.

Webb hopes a solid third season in Tigers colours will help see her put pen to purple papers in the coming years.

"I've signed another deal with the Renegades for the next season so I'll be back over in Melbourne for October and November," the former South Launceston star said.

"I love playing for Tasmania, I've really got strong ties to my state so it's definitely crossed my mind.

"Hopefully in the future it might happen."

An all-rounder who took 2-27 in her Tigers debut two years ago, Webb will play predominantly as a batter in both formats this season.

She credits coach Salliann Briggs' full-time training program with taking her game to the next level over the past 12 months and has begun to feel at home among a Tigers team featuring fellow Northerners Brooke Hepburn, Katelyn Fryett, Sasha Moloney and Meg Phillips.

"I think I've learned a lot ... it's been a great change in the last 18 or so months, a lot of the girls have improved a lot," Webb said.

"The first couple of years it was pretty scary being one of the younger girls to play alongside girls you've looked up to for so long, but now I think we've spent a lot of time together, we've trained a lot together, I've played a lot more cricket with all the girls and I'm starting to fit in pretty well I think.

"When you're spending time with such high quality cricketers and people off the field you have to grow up and develop quite quickly and that's been an amazing opportunity for me."

The past year has also seen Webb put her football dream on the backburner.

Best on ground in the 2017 TSLW grand final, Webb played two games for Carlton's AFLW outfit before a series of niggling injuries forced her to choose between the two pursuits.

"As of now I'm just sticking to cricket ... no more footy at all really for now," she said.

"The time management of things was getting pretty difficult and I started picking up a few little niggles between the two sports and it was frustrating from my perspective and both the organisations' perspective in that I couldn't give 100 per cent to either and I felt that wasn't the right thing to do.

"It was sad to stop playing but I think for the next few years it's definitely the right option in terms of cricket development."
