Tasmania Police said the men were "alive and well" and taken home to their families early on Monday morning.
The two Devonport men, aged 70 and 94 years, had travelled to the Great Lake area around lunch time on Sunday, but did not return home as planned.

A concern for welfare was raised about 10pm on Sunday, with a vehicle search conducted with support from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
They were located by the helicopter about 5.30am on Monday at Ponderosa, near Lagoon of Islands.
Police said their car had broken down, "but both men made the right decision to stay with the vehicle and when they heard the helicopter they flashed the lights of the car".
"Both men were in good spirits other than being cold and very grateful," a police statement said.
Bureau of Meteorology observations show the temperature dropped to -5 degrees at Liawenee overnight.
A maximum temperature of 12 degrees has been predicted for Launceston today, with a high chance of showers in the late morning and early afternoon.
