Documents obtained by the Greens confirmed multiple reports of animal cruelty by the Van Diemen's Land Company.
However, the Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment Department have since determined some information released in the RTI did not relate to Van Dairy, with the RTI being re-issued.
Primary Industries and Water Minister Guy Barnett said the department had apologised for the error.
"And [they've] confirmed that based on the investigation regarding Van Dairy and the other farm, that there was no breach of the animal welfare legislation," he said.
