The 12th annual Becoming Famous exhibition will showcase works of art from students from five schools in the North-East.
For three weeks only, between 150 and 200 works will be on show at the Scottsdale Art Gallery Cafe.
Displayed works are selected from throughout the students work from 2019.
Students from Bridport Primary School, Scottsdale Primary School and High School, Ringarooma Primary and Winnaleah District High School have the opportunity to display their works.
The exhibition gives students an opportunity to have their work on display in a professional setting, curator Shirley Rootes Martin said.
"I appreciate the work it puts on the teachers to produce this exhibition each year, but the students and their families really value the chance to have their work on display for the wider community to see what the students are achieving throughout the year," she said.
"To see the looks on the kids' faces and parents, and grandparents faces, it's worth doing every year."
Works using ceramics, paints, paper modelling, paper work painting, and shell works will be displayed.
Ms Rootes Martin said some of the most eye catching works each year make use of skateboards.
Painting are normally completed on the back of the boards and then displayed.
"None of the work is for sale and family and friends are encouraged to call in throughout the three weeks of the exhibition. Please bring your cameras so that you may take a photo of the student artist with their work," she said.
The exhibition will be opened by Scottsdale High School principal Ben Murfet on Thursday.
The event starts at 4.30pm and is being held at the Scottsdale Art Gallery Cafe.

After the Becoming Famous exhibition wraps up, the gallery will prepare for its spring exhibition.
