According to UTAS arts education lecturer and Australian Teacher Educator of the year Dr Abbey Macdonald the event is about having a conversation between the relationship of inquiry, science and arts.
"It's looking at the way the arts interplays with science to enable people to learn about places they might not otherwise not know about," Dr Macdonald said.

"There are really important messages that need to be embraced by people, but when it butts up against a largely or partly non-scientific public we need to look at different ways to engage and compel people to listen to that conversation."
The event is in collaboration with the Hadley's Art Prize. The event runs all day on both August 3 and 4 at Hadley's Orient Hotel.
