A 56-year-old woman from Railton died on Saturday morning as a result of a crash.
Acting Sergeant Adam Medhurst said police attended a crash between a blue Suzuki sedan and a green Subaru wagon at Railton at 10am.
"Initial investigations indicate the driver of the Suzuki may have lost control of her vehicle before colliding with the second vehicle on a corner, then rolling and coming to rest on the side of the road," Acting Sergeant Medhurst said.
"The driver and sole occupant of the Suzuki died at the scene."
He said the Subaru driver and passenger were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
"Our thoughts are with the loved ones of the woman who died," he said.
