With 900 square metres of retail space, the superstore is bound to have something for every op-shopper, from winter clothing to shoes, homewares, books, accessories and furniture.
Store manager Leanne Sanders said setting up the superstore in Boland Street, near Kmart, had been a "massive project" over the past two months.
"It started with a shell and we had to put everything in and put it all together," Ms Sanders said.
"There has been a huge amount of donations - and that's before we're even open."
IN OTHER NEWS:
The Launceston Vinnies Superstore is staffed by a combination of seven paid employees and 25 volunteers.
"It's the first time we've used paid staff. We normally rely on volunteers," Ms Sanders said.
"It will be the biggest store in Tasmania."
Proceeds from the Vinnies Superstore will be used to fund the organisation's outreach and charitable activities in Northern Tasmania, chief executive Lara Alexander said.
"At any one time, the Vinnies Superstore will stock over 30,000 items of clothing alone. That is 30,000 pieces of clothing that have been sorted, modestly priced, and prepared for sale," she said.
"This also represents 30,000 pieces of clothing we have diverted from landfill."
The Examiner's Winter Relief Appeal is celebrating 61 years.
The Winter Relief Appeal supports four Northern Tasmanian charities - St Vincent de Paul, the Benevolent Society, Salvation Army and City Mission.
For 2019 we would like to reach the $75,000 mark, and we're already at $50,822.45.
