It starts off by showing our beautiful natural forests as they are now, but you only have to turn to Oregon and Arizona in the US to see how these converted same height, same age plantations contribute to catastrophic wildfires by changing wind patterns.
California's worst fires are because of climate change and beetle infestations.
So, we want to go down the path of the US do we, where we will see more deliberate fires, more pesticides and herbicides being used?
More people losing everything, including their lives, and our fire, forestry and parks being funded many times over our health budget to try and put these uncontrollable fires out?
Even today Tasmania lets its bushfires burn because we can't put them out.
Smoke as a result of deliberately converted plantations is not sustainable.
Don't just tell us half the story.

Australian IS/Syria refugees
AUSTRALIA expects other countries to take back their nationals that are found to be engaging in terrorist activities, either in Australia or elsewhere.
But when the shoe is on the other foot Australia does not want to take back its own nationals, who have engaged in terrorist acts, or who have been associated with terrorist groups, such as those women and children who ended up in Afghanistan and were associated with IS.
This is a great boon for those countries who do not want to take back refugees or others found to be associated with terrorist organisations.
They can simply point to Australia's behaviour when the tables are turned, and Australian authorities can hardly pressure them to do what Australia refuses to do.
As there are far more terrorist-associated individuals from other countries, Australia is playing a very silly, and ultimately dangerous, game by refusing to take responsibility for its own nationals.

Cradle Mountain rescue
GOOD to know that Mr Bowman was found safe and well, but anyone going into Cradle Mountain in the middle of winter should take measures to make sure they don't need rescuing.
Maybe they should look at a seven-day weather forecast and not be silly enough to go if it shows snow and blizzards. If they do, and then put other people's lives in danger because they have to be rescued, then they should bear the brunt of the costs.
The thought that there were nine children in that region beggars belief, and also the fact that there could be another 30 intrepid explorers still snowbound. Please show some sense at this time of the year.

China's recycled rubbish
IT is wrong China sending back the recycled rubbish, when the majority of it was manufactured in China and most of poor quality.
It is about time we cut most of the products made in China and manufacture in our own country.
