Gifting himself breathing room from North Launceston captain Brad Cox-Goodyer and Lauderdale ruckman Haydn Smith, the former under-19 Australian cricketer was at his contested-ball-winning best as he collected 30-plus disposals and two goals in Launceston's upset 44-point win.
Coach Mitch Thorp took it upon himself to outshine Seymour's effort however, with a seven-goal performance snatching the three votes out of his midfielder's hands as East Fremantle returnee Tim Bristow picked up the solitary vote.
Thorp's three-vote effort has him sitting just five off the pace of his midfield recruit, having kicked 36 majors this season with four rounds remaining as his Blues sit in third spot.

North Launceston's voting card gave a glimpse into the club's future as Sherrin Egger, Connor Young and Fletcher Bennett picked up the votes in Saturday's 31-point win against Clarence.
With both Egger and Bennett born this side of the new millennium, the young Bombers showed their value at State League level as their side ran over the Roos.
Rewarded for his consistent effort earlier in the season with elevation into the Tasmanian under-25 representative side, Egger was at his silky smooth best for the Bombers in their win, looking lively throughout the clash as Cox-Goodyer nailed three goals.
Glenorchy took home the chocolates in a see-sawing 23-point win over North Hobart with 19 majors being kicked in the second half in Clinton French's 150th game.
