BOM has advised walkers of cold temperatures and snow as low as 600 metres are predicted for Tuesday in the aforementioned areas.
A cold front will also move across the state over Monday evening and a trough following it on Tuesday morning.
Strong northwesterly winds are also a factor BOM has advised bush walkers be wary of.
Snow in the South is expected to drop to about 400 metres.

The snow line will lift rapidly above 1000 metres early Wednesday.
BOM has also issued a Warning for Sheep Graziers in the Central North, North East, Midlands, East Coast, King Island, Furneaux Islands, North West Coast and South East weather districts.
