Normal service has been resumed at North Launceston after the reigning premiers cruised to a low-scoring 31-point win over Clarence.
Playing on UTAS Stadium for the final time this season, the Northern Bombers restricted their opponents to just a goal a quarter in winning 9.13 (67) to 4.12 (36).
Captain Brad Cox-Goodyer (three majors) led the goalkickers but it was young trio Sherrin Egger, Connor Young and Fletcher Bennett who most impressed coach Taylor Whitford.

Bullocking forward Dakota Bannister was also prominent in the second half, while Chris Nield kicked three of the Roos' four goals.
"We obviously got the win which was nice - we were still a little bit clunky but to be on the winners' list I guess that's a good thing," Whitford said.
"We've got the bye this week so we can reflect on that middle period of the year and come out for a big back half of the year against Launny in two weeks' time."
On the other side of the Tamar, Launceston did their neighbours a favour by inflicting Lauderdale's second loss of the season.

The result leaves top spot up for grabs as North Launceston enter their final four roster matches.
Whitford said his side would look to maintain its intensity heading into another final series.
"We'll come in Monday and review the game, then we'll look to have a pretty solid week I think with an extra session in there somewhere to give the boys the weekend off," he said.
"We're not going to give the guys the full week off as per the one in the middle of the year - this one we'll train through.
"We think it's important to get that consistency within our group and continue to work out our deficiencies and continue to build on those."
