Playground equipment, as well as excitement, is rising for the opening of Riverbend Park.
The park remains in its final phase of construction with a planned opening date of July 27.
However, inclement and rainy weather are a factor in construction progress, according to City of Launceston general manager Michael Stretton.

"We're in the final stages of construction now but we have had some wet weather in recent weeks - and more forecast next week - which has slowed progress and may continue to do so," he said.
"We're still within our projected timeframes and we will be in a better position to provide a more detailed update next week.
"The park is looking fantastic and we're very excited too that its opening is imminent."
