A man from the United Kingdom is also overdue to return from his trek, with rescue efforts continuing across Tasmania.

The man is in the Cradle Mountain National Park.
Two helicopters will be used to check every hut on the Overland Track, including the Scott Kilvert Hut.
A school group is believed to be located in the hut.

Police have not had a request for assistance from the group, which is also not overdue, but police will check in to make sure they're OK.
A number of other searches are continuing in the area, Tasmania Police Inspector Darren Hopkins.
"Anyone who is venturing into Tasmanian alpine conditions should be fully aware of forecast and unpredictability in weather conditions," Inspector Hopkins said.
"They should be experienced bushwalkers and have the right equipment."
