The Invermay theatre will screen a double bill on Wednesday night: Apollo 11, making it the night before its official Australian release, and The Dish.
This moon-themed event even includes intermission entertainment, with a special talk from Launceston Planetarium's acclaimed astronomer Martin George included in the $30 ticket price.
It will be held during the Star's Moon Film Festival, between July 16 and 24, Mr Davis said - "the same nine days that Apollo XI embarked on her audacious mission".
IN OTHER NEWS:
All proceeds from the July 17 event go to The Examiner's Winter Relief Appeal, which now stands at $43,528.95.
