The fire occurred at about 1.30pm when a marina employee was alerted by a fire in one of the marina buildings, according to TFS Station Officer Ben Wilson.
Station Officer Wilson said the cause of the fire was still under investigation, however initial inspections indicate the cause of the fire was a dryer malfunction.
"Most damage was contained to the dryer unit, which caused smoke damage within the building," he said.
No one was harmed during the incident, which is now contained.
The community is raising funds for four local charities as part of The Examiner's Winter Relief Appeal. Can you help?
