Liana and Matt finally took the hint from all their family and friends when they finally got together in 2014.
"My mum set us up, but we had been told by all of our mutual friends that we should be together for years prior to this," Liana said.
As always, mum knows best and the couple has been together ever since.
Matt and Liana share a love for country life, music festivals and their dogs and soon found themselves setting up life in their own home in the country.
When talk turned to marriage, they went to pick out a ring together, but the ring sat in a cupboard for months afterwards.
A holiday to Cradle Mountain seemed like the perfect timing, but Liana was fooled into thinking Matt had forgotten.
"Matt proposed on a rock at Cradle Mountain, he already had the ring, which I had picked out months prior and I knew where it was," Liana said.
"I checked before we left and the ring was still in the hiding spot so I didn't think he was going to propose but I didn't realise he had planted a decoy ring knowing I would look.
"What he also forgot is that I am scared of heights and so is he, so maybe a rock wasn't the best place ... great view though."
Matt and Liana started planning their day pretty much straight away, they knew they wanted a mini-festival to celebrate their big day with all their friends and family.
However, life had other plans and Liana and Matt welcomed their son Tom into the world the same year they had planned to get married.
The plans weren't put on hold for too long and soon Matt and Liana were planning their dream wedding.
"Matt and I love music festivals so we always envisioned having a mini-festival as our reception," Lians said.
"We wanted to have a big party with all of our friends so we were keen to have a more budget-style wedding so we didn't have to skimp on how many people we could invite."
The wedding was hosted at Liana's parent's property at Rosevears, and friends and family all pitched in to make it a success, making salads, donating flowers from their gardens, decorating, setting up and cooking.
It was a scorcher of a day, but Liana said it was perfect, including the ceremony which neither she or Matt had really looked forward to as they were so focused on their festival party and letting their hair down.
"The ceremony was perfect, it was exactly as we imagined, relaxed, humorous and low key.".
"I was nervous and Matt cried during the ceremony but I knew that would happen, he couldn't even get his words out.
"I genuinely married my best friend, no one else is as crazy as I am. It is only a piece of paper at the end of the day but we got to share a declaration of our love and friendship with a tonne of people in our way."
Liana walked down the rose petal scattered aisle in a dress she picked up just two days before her wedding.
"A week out from the wedding and I decided I didn't like my dress," Liana said.
"Two days before the wedding I was grabbing a coffee and I saw this dress in the window at Vashti, it was the only one left and it was my size.
"As soon as I tried it on I knew it was the one, even though I had bright pink underwear on."
Matt and Liana celebrated with their guests until 3am, the dance floor never cleared and everyone had a great night.
"At 3am as we were about to go to bed and everything was silent. Matt and I stood where we had been married just hours before and looked out over the lights on the Tamar, it was a nice way to end our massive day," Liana said.
