Snow is expected down to 500 metres this Saturday and Sunday, with the Bureau of Meteorology predicting more wet, cold, and windy weather.

"Conditions over the weekend could see a large accumulation of snow about the west and Central Plateau," meteorologist Rachel McInerney said.
Cradle Mountain was covered in a heavy dusting of snow on Friday, and at the Great Lake Hotel, staff issued a warning to tourists not to attempt to drive up the mountains in two-wheel drives.

"Snow is pretty but it's not worth risking life and limb," it said on social media.
"Bring a change of clothes and dry socks and your own boogie board or cardboard for tobogganing, and stuff to decorate snow creatures."
As of Friday night, there were road closures along sections of Highland Lakes Road, Marlborough Road, and Poatina Road.
Minor flood warnings are in place for the Meander, North Esk, South Esk and Macquarie rivers, and BOM expects 10 - 25 mm to fall across Tasmania on Saturday, with more rainfall expected at higher elevations.
There is a gale wind warning in place on Saturday for the Central North Coast, East of Flinders Island, East Coast, and West Coast, and a strong wind warning in place for the south of the state.
