The Hawthorn Hawks fans (and one lonely Fremantle supporter) had the chance to watch pre-game training from the comfort of the President's Function Room; grill Hawks Tasmanian state manager David Cox on their guided tour; see inside the change room, coach's box, and umpire's box; and press the big green button that triggers the siren across the field.
Tour-goer Delyss Pender said the tour put a human face to the work that goes into the Hawks here in Tasmania.
"It was excellent, David's tour was very good," she said.
"The facilities here are terrific - it was a great opportunity for us. And I did like the President's room."
Other unique Launceston experiences will be emailed to online subscribers to The Examiner, with previous offers including touring the renovated C.H. Smith building before it opened, and sharing in the adrenaline-fuelled election night newsroom atmosphere.
