"We will be missing players left, right and centre this week," Tuohy said. "So it's about utilising the players we do have available."
The selected team enters Saturday's away trip still without Clare McKimmie, as well as Danni Pickett, while both Lydia and Tessa Coote are out for a further week.
Hawks co-coach Kellie Woolnough will take charge, forced to recall some of the club's 19-and-under players, with Hannah Lenthall identified for a key role among just the seven opens regulars.
It could have been worse.
Touhy said the priority will be to get through unscathed against the bottom-placed Devon for next weekend's Silverdome double-header.
"We are just really looking to push ourselves through this game and utilise the players that we do have available and see what we can achieve," she said.
Cavaliers have the bye.
