The well spoken 10-year-old learnt about the impact that plastic was having on animals so she decided to use social media to fundraise for her favourite charities.

"I started researching plastic at school and realised how polluted the world was, it inspired me to fix it," she said.

"It makes me really angry and upset that people can be so thoughtless."

Marley's aim to raise $500 for a Turtle Conservation and Education Centre at Serangen Island in Bali has almost been reached.

"I released a turtle called Lola on holiday last year. Her mum was pregnant when they rescued her from plastic, I actually got to hold and release her," Marley said.

"[The centre] runs of donations and because balie is quite a poor country they are struggling to get enough tanks for all the turtles."

She also plans to sell Marleys Missions t-shirts and jewellery to continue her fundraising efforts for her other chosen charities World Wildlife Fund and OceanCare.

These philanthropic inspirations may also have been inspired, in part, by watching the fundraising efforts of her mother Melody, who in 2011 launched Be Hers a national charity fighting against human trafficking.
