The 25-year-old will miss encounters on Saturday night against Ringwood Hawks and Sunday midday against Diamond Valley Eagles.
Launceston coach Derrick Washington has stuck to the line every week that Hodges is a "day-by-day" proposition since re-injuring a hamstring 19 days ago.
The absence of the club's only power forward will be hurt further by the departure of New Zealander Stella Beck for national duties in Japan.
The Tornadoes have not won during her absence as a part of their seven-game losing stretch.
Tornadoes general manager Corey Ackerly insisted Hodges was keen to remain in Launceston for the season.
Hodges won't fly with the squad on Saturday, but has set the club's last home game on July 20 for a return.
"Brittany's injury has been very frustrating for all of us this season," Ackerly said.
"When she first hurt it at training, we thought she might only miss one to two weeks. She has had scans and there is no major damage, but it has just taken much longer for it to settle down."
"Brittany really wanted to stay and play out the season.
"We wanted to give her every chance to recover and play. She has been seeing our physio, doing all her rehab and attending all training."
Hodges is averaging 17.1 points, 11.5 rebounds and 51 per cent from the field.
Launceston faces a tough battle against fourth-placed Ringwood, but could fancy their chances with Diamond Valley in a clash between the bottom two NBL1 teams.
Ally Wilson will front for the Eagles against her former side for the first time since relocating to Melbourne to be closer to her Frankston Blues partner Lachlan Barker.
She will be the club's face ahead of indigenous round.
"It means a lot to me that I can go back to my community, be a role model for the young Aboriginal kids playing basketball and to be able to share my basketball journey," Wilson said.
