The boys team continued their losing streak with a 72-55 defeat against Queensland South.
Penguin's Ryley Haywood was the star with 22 points.
The girls fell to defeat in a low scoring affair against Victoria Country, 50-38.
A slow start put the girls behind early and trailed 11-5 at quarter time and 23-11 by half time.
The Tasmanians found some improvement after half time with 16-14 in the third term, by the Victorians secured the win with a 13-11 final term.
Penguin's Charli Kay continued to be the girls best attacking threat with 15 points.
The teams play again Wednesday, with the boys facing ACT at 11.30am and Western Australia Country at 7.30pm, while the girls face Western Australia Country at 1pm.
