Tara Brooks owns the store with her husband David, and while the pair's candles are popular at the various markets they sell them at, customers haven't flocked to the new shop since it opened six months ago.
"We've got a bigger range in the shop and it's really nice," Ms Brooks said.
"What we can offer is if you buy two candles you get the third half-price."
Ms Brooks said that because there were always candles burning in the shop, customers could "get a sense of what they're purchasing".
"[Candles are] just such a lovely thing to produce," she said.
"It's a beautiful thing to pass on to people, giving them light."
SoyAlchemi's candles are made with WWF-certified materials and provide a clean burn. They are made with essential and fragrant oils.
The shop is located in the Quadrant Mall and is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday during the winter.
"We've got reduced winter hours but we're offering [a] by-appointment [arrangement] seven days a week," Ms Brooks said.
