The Launceston product was the Eastern Allies' best in their four point loss to the Central Allies, 5.6 (36) to 4.8 (32) at Metricon Stadium with a dominant game in the midfield.
The Eastern Allies finished a contest which was an arm-wrestle all day the better, but an inaccurate final quarter (0.5 to 0.0) denied them the chance for victory.
King and her Launceston teammate Camilla Taylor are part of the Eastern Allies squad along with Glenorchy's Charlie Lovell and Jemma Webster, Tigers' Priscilla Odwogo and Clarence's Amy Prokopiec.
North Launceston's Ella Maurer and Clarence's Tahlia Bortignon are emergencies.
The Allies will next face Vic Country at Southport at noon on Wednesday.
