National Tree Day is an event held Australia-wide that sees more than one million seedlings planted across the nation.
Attendees will be planting native shrubs and grasses in an attempt to re-vegetate the area which includes a little penguin habitat.
Areas will be mulched and watered, and guards will be erected to protect plantation.
Parking will be available at Allen Street or Redbill Beach car park at the end of George Street.
Those attending are encouraged to wear appropriate footwear and hat, bring sunscreen, water and a pair of gardening gloves, shovel, pick or mallet.
